The Society's Alfred Williams Heritage Festival took place over two days in November 2010 at STEAM, Swindon.
The festival featured two performances of The Hammerman musical by John Cullimore and John Moorhouse, directed by Linda Worth and starring Paul Bradley as Alfred Williams, including the world premiere on the evening of Friday, November 12, 2010.
There was also a special session for more than 200 local schoolchildren on the Friday, based on the musical and Alfred's life, and on the Saturday afternoon, more than 20 local history groups gathered for Swindon's first Local History Fair.
